Powder coated fingers Laughing bright orange Wait until the dog sleeps To pick his wounded ear Salivating as the throat swells thicker Eat a little faster before You get sicker Oo-oo-ooh... Oo-oo-ooh... Make the journey back home by the sunset Take account of all your hopes and keep it Wrap up in a blanket, avoid The winter Lay your pretty head down to Keep from spiraling We’ll make our way back home Please take my hand and let’s go Nobody knows ‘til they know Please take my hand and let go

My therapist ghosted me for six months So six times two hundred per session Four times a month, carry the one That’s a new guitar And I don’t need a new guitar I don’t need a new guitar I just need someone to talk to I guess I’ll handle it all on my own I’m rebuilding my defenses That sounds healthy and makes sense, and I got a new guitar And I don’t need anyone else I don’t need anyone else But I’d like someone to talk to Is it all In my head I don’t mean to be a burden I just thought we had something going Is it all In my head I don’t mean to be a burden I just thought we had something going Is it all In my head I don’t mean to be a burden I just thought we had something going Is it all In my head I don’t mean to be a burden I just thought we had something going

Weird Mirror 02:19
In the mirror I can feel the things you’d say to me When I look at myself And my reflection Doesn’t feel familiar It feels like a stranger to me I hope someday I’ll look and say I look happy now And though we both know We’ve got lots of time to go I feel mine running out I’m feeling weird Yeah, I’m feeling weird I’m feeling trapped inside my head Lost sight of my own happiness Yeah, I’m feeling weird I’m feeling weird Yeah, I’m feeling weird Well, I’m feeling lost inside my head I’ve gone and dissociated Yeah, I’m feeling weird

about

“Bailey and I have known each other for a few years now but we bonded at lightning speed when we found out we both played in bands. Earlier this year, I had just finished recording my debut full-length and the next day, I texted Bailey and was like, “What if we co-wrote a song this year? Just gonna put that out into the universe.” Bailey then responded with the idea of a split EP, and then one thing led to another, and here we are eight months later! The Teens in Trouble side of the split brings songs about being present in the moment and mental health, both based on true stories/experiences I’ve had over the past year. I recorded once again with my friends guitarist/bassist/producer Randy Moore (Lektron, Dan Andriano & The Bygones), drummer Henry Chadwick, and guitarist Mike Huguenor (Jeff Rosenstock) at District Recording in San Jose. Channeling the intentions of the songs, the goal was to capture the rawness of being in the moment and being content with first- or second-take instincts and the flaws that come with it.” - Teens In Trouble
